Today in fashion, it’s all about the statement belts. For a long time now, belts haven’t actually been used only for their main function: to hold up pants. These days, they’re acting as decorative pieces or funky accessories. They’re popping up on necklines, collars, and skirts. Oh, and it’s also not just about singular belts anymore, either. If you have a few different statement pieces, why not try stacking them? How about three, four, or even five?
With belts being the prevailing accessory of the moment, it’s no wonder that when Anne Hathaway stopped by Good Morning America yesterday morning, it was a (you guessed it!) leather belt that completely transformed her outfit.

This particular girdle was a thick black leather design from Khaite—the Keefe belt—which featured a sculptural gold buckle in a rolling dome shape.

Hathaway, with the help of her stylist Erin Walsh, used the sash to cinch a gray Glen plaid blazer from Michael Kors. The wool-blend jacket featured peak lapels and pockets in front, as well as sharp shoulders that jutted out to the sides. But the most notable detail was a streamer of additional fabric that emerged out of one of the pockets and trailed down Hathaway’s side.

The blazer was paired with a matching panel midi skirt that featured side slits, and it was layered over an inky knit bodysuit, also courtesy of Michael Kors. The ensemble was pulled from the house’s Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear collection, which was just unveiled this past February.

Finally, the Oscar winner slipped into a pair of tights and some burgundy So Kate pumps from Christian Louboutin. For her finishing touches, she popped on some cat-eye sunglasses from Krewe and golden jewelry from Bulgari.

As she’s been promoting her new projects, The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Mother Mary, Hathaway’s style has ranged from scientific to gothic, artistic, and now corporate, proving what we already knew: She really can do it all.
