Congratulations are pouring in for tennis great Venus Williams, 45, who married actor and model Andrea Preti, 37, in an epic five-day wedding this weekend at the couple’s home in Palm Beach, Florida. The pair’s Florida festivities followed a September ceremony in Italy, which could not be legalized due to Williams’ status as a foreigner. The couple opted to follow it up with an official wedding in Florida among close family and friends, including Venus’ sisterSerena Williams.

The couple shared the news—and the bride’s stunning custom dresses—with Vogue magazine, which writes:
“Congratulations are in order for @VenusWilliams and Andrea Preti (@andreapreti88), the couple is officially married! Following their Italian celebration in September, the tennis legend and the actor finally tied the knot in Florida this past weekend with a fashion-filled week of events. ‘We all love each other so much,’ Venus says. ‘It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.’”
In a series of social media posts, Vogue gives readers a behind-the-scenes look at Williams’ breathtaking wedding dresses, as well as the stunning site of their celebration. Williams is beaming in the photos with her new husband and with her bridesmaids, including sister Serena, who all wore white as well.
How Venus Williams and Andrea Preti Met
Vogue also shares the couple’s adorable meet-cute—the Gucci show in Milan, Italy—and the dramatic life events that followed and bonded the couple for life, writing:
“Tennis legend @VenusWilliams and actor, producer, and model @andreapreti88 first met in 2024 during Milan Fashion Week—at an event neither was originally supposed to attend. ‘We met at the Gucci show,’ Venus remembers. ‘Neither of us was planning on being there. He was tired, and I was in Lake Como on a sisters’ trip when I got an invite at the last minute and decided to go on a whim. We were both at a show that we weren’t supposed to be at.’”
After the show, the brand’s former creative director Sabato De Sarno arranged an aperitivo with a group of VIPs upstairs at the venue.
“I saw V and wanted to introduce myself,” says Andrea. “She was on the sofa with her friends and family. I told her, ‘You’re so beautiful,’ and then she started speaking with me in Italian. We had a little talk, and I asked if she wanted a drink. I went to the bar to get something, and her sister Lyn came to me and said, ‘Do you mind if we start a WhatsApp conversation? I think my sister likes you.’”
Six months later, they got engaged on January 31, 2025, in Tuscany.
